  • Strike Fitness at NWC

    Strike Fitness combines aerobic fitness with kickboxing techniques and strength training exercises - for the full body workout! No gloves, no pads, no sparring. Just high energy exercise and sequences designed to kick off the weekday stress! All abilities welcome. Women only. *Advance booking is essential* This 4-week course of classes is FREE to attend and is fully funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. The course is organised by Body Physical Fitness Club CIC and session will be led by Chez at Body Physical.

    Wednesdays 6:00pm - Sherwood Community Centre Join us at Body Physical for our Feel-good Fitness class every Wednesday at the Sherwood Community Centre from 6:00 - 6:50pm. Designed to music, this class is the fun way to fitness, helping to boost your aerobic fitness, muscle strength, tone, and stamina. With a range of fitness styles taught and no two classes the same, our fusion of aerobics, body conditioning, and sport-inspired training will keep you on your toes and leave you feeling great. How to find us: Our Sherwood Community Centre fitness classes are now held in the Main Hall! On arrival, you can park in the SCC car park and enter the building via main reception. Please arrive in plenty of time for changing and using the facilities, in time for a prompt start.

    The perfect Sundays - soothing, settling and slow. It's hard to take time out for yourself. It's hard to escape the clutter and noise. This Sunday morning experience is designed to do just that. Allow yourself to unwind from the weekday stresses, calm your mind, sooth your nervous system and dive into deep relaxation. This sessions consists of guided Yin Yoga practice, followed by Yoga Nidra (sleep yoga). Prepare yourself for a cosy, comforting and calming - the perfect way to start your slow Sunday.

    Slow Flow Yoga is the perfect wind-down Yoga class to bring a close to your day. Slow Yoga Flow brings you grounded Hatha Yoga at a slower pace, to invoke restoration, a sense of calm and promote better sleep. Join us for a one-off, Slow Flow Yoga class - 60 minutes of mindful movement, breath and body connection. Aaaaand relax. This class is ideal for beginners, those who have practiced for a while or for those of you who prefer a welcome wind-down for your evening, to help prepare you for the day ahead.     Slow Yoga Flow incorporates Hatha Yoga practice, at a steadier pace. These classes are incorporate a more ground-based practice, crafted to instill calm and quiet, just before bed. These 60-minute classes are ideal for anyone returning to Yoga practice, beginning a new Yoga journey and seeking ways to connect body and mind. Using Yogic breath work, postures, sound and meditation, these classes will help you to declutter your mind, improve strength and mobility and reconnect with your inner self.
